Stephanie Ackley Crowe

serves as Chief Learning Officer for The Communicators and provides leadership in professional training and certification preparation initiatives. She provides thought leadership and strategy for associations and credentialing bodies with clear, bold visions for dramatic growth through the creation of their own corporate university or confluence of an entire industry into workforce imperatives.

Stephanie has launched and led multiple corporate and organizational universities, nationwide and global in scope. Her teams have won ASTD Best and Training Top 100 recognition as well as industry accolades. She has achieved $42 million in revenue through channel training efforts in her first year leading the learning function for a global technology firm. Stephanie also led a process change team whose efforts resulted in $59.1 million in returns for the company within two years. She has spearheaded groundbreaking training solutions in interactive and blended simulation for soft skills to the academic and corporate markets. Curricula designed and developed by Stephanie range from interactive blended learning team simulations to high technology product e-learning to instructor-led process training.

Selected project highlights

  • Training revenues grow to $42M, improving trainer utilization 50%. Seven disparate training groups at Pelco, Inc. were inefficient and unproductive. Stephanie pulled together the team to create one global training organization, increasing effectiveness and success. The team developed new courses for new products, with many existing courses redesigned. Team delivered 670+ classes in year one, doubling registrations globally.
  • Emerging leaders learn conflict management climbing “Mt. Wharton.” Leadership development is key to the Wharton MBA curriculum, but how do you teach conflict resolution? Stephanie built a live simulation based on real life mountain climbing experiences for 800+ MBA students, delivered in teams of 6 by 30 leadership facilitators over two weeks, effectively completing the Leadership curriculum for the #1 MBA Program on the globe.
  • $59M in cost reduction benefits for global Fortune 500 firm. Pitney Bowes needed to streamline processes and implement new systems. Stephanie and her team identified process improvements and built best practice training modules, delivered training through 100 consultants and subject matter experts, and successfully achieved $59 million in process improvements across the organization’s supply chain.


Stephanie is a former Board Member of the Central Valley Chapter of ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) and serves on the Greater Atlanta ASTD Board, running programs for this mega-chapter. She holds an MBA with Honors in Strategic Management from The Wharton School and a BA in International Studies from American University in Washington, DC. She is a certified Facilitator, Mediator and Project Management Professional.
